The OL Champion of France, from the pros to the Benjamins!

CFA - Champion of France Amateur: Champion of France.

Division Honneur: Rhone-Alpes champion (under the terms of the new regulations, the Division Honneur does not exist any more as of this season. From now on, when they leave their Age 18 class, Juniors will integrate the CFA team directly.)

The Under 18s: First in their group, finalists of the Gambardella Cup and finalists of the Coupe de France.

The Under 16s: Finalists of the Championship of France won by Auxerre.

13, 14, and 15 year olds: First of their group.

The Benjamins: Champion of France.

Alain Olio, who is in charge of the formation at the OL, accounts for this outstanding year 2003 with reference to the work started by the Lyonnais club many years ago: "If we have reached the finals of the various competitions in the various Junior categories, it is not by chance. There is, certainly, a certain amount of success, but this really is the result of the work carried out by the OL for nearly twenty years. The club was an innovator in many fields: it is one of the first to have set up a schooling system adapted to two daily training sessions; (I must also mention) its coaches, starting with José Broissart, one of the pioneers of the formation centre, who have always been absolute quality."
