Maxence Caqueret prolonge à l’OL jusqu’en juin 2026
Olympique Lyonnais is very pleased to announce an extension for midfielder Maxence Caqueret for three additional seasons, i.e. until June 30, 2026.

At the club for more than 10 years now, Maxence Caqueret, who has enjoyed an upward trajectory at OL and worn the captain's armband many times with the youth teams, has chosen his training club to continue his career at the highest level.

Aged 22, the French U-21 international (13 caps/2 goals) signed his first professional contract in December 2018, before extending it 6 months later, and has already played 88 matches with OL, including 37 this season under Peter Bosz.

A complete midfielder, with a good vision of the game and capable of sustaining a heavy workload, Maxence Caqueret was particularly impressive during the Final 8 in Lisbon in August 2020. A model for success, the player born in 2000 has shown he knows how to impose himself in the heart of midfield for Lyon, turning in many great performances.

Olympique Lyonnais is delighted with the choice made by Maxence Caqueret, who has been sought by many clubs, who wanted to join, for the long term, his formative club in order to reach a new level, alongside fellow Academy players Rayan Cherki, Malo Gusto, Castello Lukeba and Bradley Barcola.
