Brondby – OL : Passer à autre chose (21h sur RMC Sport 1)
OL head to Denmark this Thursday at 9 p.m. to face Brondby on Matchday 5 in the Europa League group stage.

The context

Without a match in their legs for nearly three weeks due to a difficult set of circumstances against OM on Sunday, Peter Bosz’s side are looking forward to getting back on track. The trip to Brondby in the Europa League, a competition where she have impressed since the start of the season, is timely to try to restore the team's spirits before getting back to domestic action with a tricky trip to Montpellier on Sunday.

The challenge

The only team in the competition with four wins in as many matches, OL are also the only club to have qualified for the Round of 16 of the Europa League, having already secured first place in the group. Without any real importance in terms of the table, this European match should allow the Lyonnais to regain a sense of rhythm and build up confidence before some crucial fixtures in the league.

The opponent

It's not been the hoped-for start to the season. Danish champion last season, finishing ahead of Midtjylland and Copenhagen for the 11th time in its history, Brondby now only sits fifth in the standings this season, and are already seven points behind the leaders. Eliminated in the Champions League play-off by Salzburg, the Danish side have failed to bounce back in the Europa League, sitting bottom with just two points. However, their hope of qualifying for the play-offs is well and truly alive as they're just two points behind Sparta and Rangers.
