Sélections : Le planning de nos internationales
Many players from Olympique Lyonnais and our US franchise OL Reign have been called up for their respective countries to take part in the final international matches of 2021. Find out what the schedule has in store for them.

Qualifying for the 2023 World Cup will be the main focus in this final international break of the year. The top scorer in these qualifiers Signe Bruun (tied with Nicole Billa) turn out for Denmark and will try, with her team, to maintain first place in Group E. Also hoping to secure a qualifying place for the World Cup, Belgium and Janice Cayman currently sit third in their group, and should be ready to go in these last two matches of 2021, including a crucial match against Poland who currently sit second. Sally Julini and Switzerland will also battle for a direct place in Australia and New Zealand, with a clash against Italy; both teams are level with 12 points. Finally, France, with Melvine Malard, Perle Morroni, Delphine Cascarino, Selma Bacha and Griedge Mbock, the Netherlands and Danielle Van de Donk and Germany with Dzsenifer Marozsan will be keen to extends their leads at the top of their respective groups. The French will notably host Wales and Jess Fishlock, who lie second in group I.

Several non-European players will play friendly matches at the end of the year, with several matches marked by the presence of players from Olympique Lyonnais and OL Reign. Canadians Kadeisha Buchanan and Quinn will face Mexico’s Jimena Lopez, while Australia’s Ellie Carpenter will host Americans Catarina Macario, Alana Cook, Sofia Huerta, Rose Lavelle and Bethany Balcer. On the South American side, a four-nation tournament will take place in Manaus, during which Chile’s Christiane Endler faces Brazil’s Angelina. For her part, Shirley Cruz will join the Costa Rican team to play a friendly match against Nicaragua.

Finally, our young players are also in action in this break: Yrma Mze Issa, Inès Benyahia and Alice Sombath will travel to Salou with the French U20 Team to play three matches as they compete for the WU20 Daurada Trophy; Kysha Sylla, Laurine Baga and Nesrine Bahlouli will also joing Belgium for two friendly matches.
