OL – Benfica : Retrouvailles européennes au Groupama Stadium ! (21h sur Youtube)
Tonight at 9 p.m., the OL women's team face Benfica in the second matchday of the group stage of the Women’s Champions League. On this occasion, the Lyonnaises will return to Groupama Stadium, 6 months after their last match there.

Still undefeated since the start of the season, the players of Sonia Bompastor will now face their first big European test of the season. Nine days after their win against Häcken, the Lyonnaises will be back in action at Groupama Stadium for this match against SL Benfica.

At the top of their group, two points ahead of Bayern Munich and Benfica, the Lyonnaises could already think about qualifying for the knockout rounds if they win against the Portuguese side, who are five points behind them. Efficient offensively and solid defensively during the month of September (only one goal conceded and 14 goals scored in their last four matches), Selma Bacha's teammates seem full of confidence before this match.

Founded less than four years ago, the Benfica women's team managed to become champions last season for the first time in their history. Ahead of facing OL, the Lisbon side are on a very positive run, winning four times in their last six matches. Despite its recent national title, Benfica remains an inexperienced side at European level, with just eight Women's Champions League games to its name.
