Sélections : Léo Dubois remporte la Ligue des Nations !
Since Friday evening, many Lyonnais have been in action with their respective countries; here's a look back at the latest results.

It's a first trophy for France for Léo Dubois! On Sunday evening, the French team faced Spain in the San Siro in the UEFA Nations League final. After conceding the opener shortly after the hour mark (64'), the teammates of our captain, who came on in the 79th minute in place of Benjamin Pavard, levelled two minutes later via the former Lyonnais Karim Benzema (66'), before winning the match thanks to Kylian Mbappé (80'). France won this second edition of the UEFA Nations League, handing Léo Dubois the first international trophy of his career.

Sunday was also an opportunity for Emerson and Jason Denayer to battle for third place in this competition, in a clash between Euro-winning Italy and FIFA's top-ranked Belgium. By winning 2 goals to 1 against the Red Devils, Squadra Azzura took their place on the podium.

As for 2022 World Cup Qualifying, the Lyonnais have experienced varying fortunes. Sinaly Diomande (Ivory Coast), Karl Toko Ekambi (Cameroon), Islam Slimani (Algeria) and Xherdan Shaqiri (Switzerland) emerged victorious from their meetings, while Lucas Paqueta (Brazil) and Malcolm Barcola (Togo) drew respectively against Colombia and Congo.

Finally, our Gones Maxence Caqueret, Malo Gusto and Rayan Cherki had a big win on the third day of Euro U-21 qualifying against Ukraine, second in group H. These three points allowed the French U21 team to move into first place, and Rayan Cherki in particular stood out in his first match under Sylvain Ripoll, scoring a brace.
