Summary and lessons learnt

After four days of training in Spain, Peter Bosz's side were in action against the Europa League holders. In spite of some devastating attacks of the Spaniards, the Lyon players did well. The standout moments included a beautiful opening goal by Jean Lucas from a Maxence Caqueret assist, after some excellent team pressing. There was also a sensational volley from Houssem Aouar into the top corner. Moussa Dembélé and Karl Toko Ekambi both had chances to put OL back in front towards the end of the second half. Nonetheless, our encouraging run continues. The squad will stay in Spain for three more days before travelling to Portugal to face Sporting CP on Sunday at 9pm.
