First professional contract for Mohamed El Arouch
Born in 2004, Mohamed El Arouch joined the OL academy in 2017 at the age of 13. A technical midfielder, the former SC Orange player quickly progressed through the various youth teams. After a very successful 2019/20 season with the U17s (15 matches, three goals, eight assists), Mohamed El Arouch joined the Pro2 last season and played two matches in National 2.
The first player of the 2004 generation to sign as a professional, the 17-year-old, who played against Villefranche and Wolfsburg in our recent friendlies, also has seven caps for the French U16 team as well as several invitations for training camps with the U17s.
The signing of Mohamed El Arouch comes after those of defender Castello Lukeba (2002) and strikers Sekou Lega (2003) and Samuel Bossiwa (2003), demonstrating once again the confidence the club has in its Academy.
Mohamed El Arouch:
"I am very moved and very proud to sign this first professional contract with OL. It's a dream come true. Now it's up to me to continue my efforts and work very hard to reach my goal one day: to earn my place and play with the senior side."
