Peter Bosz : « On aime le même football avec Juninho » (entretien en exclusivité sur OLPlay)
His first few weeks at OL, his philosophy of play, the preparation for the 2021-2022 season to come... the new Dutch coach of the senior side, Peter Bosz, spoke to club media for the first time during an in-depth and exclusive interview. You can watch in full on OLPlay.

Peter, how did your arrival at OL go behind the scenes?

I didn't hesitate. When you have the chance to be the coach of a great club like OL, you don't hesitate. It's a great honor. The fact that I knew French made the difference in my choice. Communication is very important in my way of working. I am sure that in 2-3 months, everything will be fine. Playing in one of the five big footballing countries in Europe also made a difference. I am proud to be here, in a great club. I have great ambitions to produce an interesting game for the fans.

How did your first meetings with Juninho go?

I already knew Juninho as an exceptional footballer. I have now met him as a sporting director. I spoke with him about football. We like the same type of players, very technical players, who are intelligent in the game. We like the same football, offensive, attacking football.

And how about with your new players, and a very young squad?

I learned a lot about them in the first three weeks of training. I worked very closely with them. When you watch the games on TV, you don't really know them. It was important for me. The recovery went well. There are still some international players missing. This also gives the young players a chance to show their abilities. I know that OL is a club with a very good Academy and that it always gives youngsters the chance to play. I like that very much. They need experience and for that you have to play. You have to give them a lot of confidence, talk to them a lot. You have to help them, it's important. They have talent and it's up to the coaches to help them progress. I didn't know them when I arrived. They are very good players. Some of them still need time, we'll give them that.
