First professional contracts for Lukeba, Lega and Bossiwa; Nsombi signs a development deal
18-year-old center-back Castello Lukeba joined the club in 2011 from Olympique Saint-Genis Laval. Starting with the U-11s, the French U-17 international continued his training through all of the team's youth categories, up to National 2 where he played seven matches last year before the end of the season. After Djibrail Dib and Titouan Thomas, Castello Lukeba is the third player from the 2002 generation, to have been trained at the club and sign a professional contract.
Born in 2003, forwards Samuel Bossiwa and Sekou Lega have also signed three season professional deals with Olympique Lyonnais. A French U-17 international, Sekou Lega arrived at OL in 2016. Top scorer with the U17s during the 2019/2020 season (17 goals in 12 matches), the former CS Brétigny player joined the first team at the end of last season, just like his teammate Samuel Bossiwa, who arrived at the club in 2018, and played in nine National 2 matches last year.
The 3 players have since been integrated into Peter Bosz's first team.
In addition, Olympique Lyonnais announces of the signing of Gaël Nsombi to a development contract for two seasons, until June 30, 2023. Also born in 2003, the Lyon striker, captain of the U17s in 2019/2020, was top scorer for the U19s last year (six goals in eight matches) before the end of the season.
