Press release | A new organization for OL's women's team

Olympique Lyonnais announce that Sonia Bompastor, coach of the women's team since April 27, 2021, has finalized the composition of her staff for the next two seasons.

Appointed first team coach in April, Camille Abily, a former French international and member of the staff of the women's team since 2019, will continue to serve in this position.

Théo Rivrin, a football coacingh graduate, will join the staff as her top assistant. Having worked with Stade Rennais, FC Antibes, the Mediterranean League and OGC Nice, he also coached the OL Women's U19 team for three years before joining the Brittany Football League as a technical advisor.

Théo Rivrin will be more specifically in charge of monitoring the players in their post-training work, taking over this role from Camille Abily.

Former Ligue 1 player Christophe Gardié will be, as he has been over the last four seasons, the coach of OL's goalkeepers.

The staff also will have two physical trainers from the Academy: Romain Segui, a trainer at Olympique Lyonnais since 2011 who has worked with the women's team for two seasons and Rémi Pullara, who joins the technical staff, after three years in as a physical trainer in charge of first the U14s then the U16s.

Maeva Ruiz will be in charge of video analysis as in the last two seasons.

The medical staff for the professional female team remains the same with at its head, Doctor David Mouriesse, who has previously worked with FC Bourg Péronnas team and two physiotherapists: Thibaud Aubin and Liamine Belaloui.

All of the women's team's professional staff will be ready to work with the players as of July 15, when the team resume training.
