Trophées UNFP: OL is well-represented

Ahead of the 29th Trophées UNFP, a ceremony which rewards coaches and players who have distinguished themselves this season, many Lyonnais and Lyonnaises have been named among the lists of nominees.

For the women's team, striker Delphine Cascarino has been nominated for  Best Player and Sarah Bouhaddi for Best Goalkeeper. Melvine Malard and Ellie Carpenter, are in the running for the title of Best Young Player.

For the men, coach Rudi Garcia is nominated for the title of Best Coach, Maxence Caqueret for Best Young Player, and Memphis Depay for Best Player thanks to his 19 goals and 10 assists in the competition, as they join Anthony Lopes, who has been shortlisted for Best Goalkeeper.

Special mentions as well to former Lyonnais Hugo Lloris, Ferland Mendy and Karim Benzema, all three of whom have been nominated for the title of Best French Player Abroad.
