OL-Lorient: The post-match reactions
“This is my first double. I am very happy. It feels good and gives me a lot of pleasure. The first half was tough as we didn’t manage to play our game. It was a little easier in the second half. We talked a lot in the locker room at halftime. Thanks to this victory, we've put pressure on Monaco."
“We reduced our number of touches in the second period, and played with more rhythm. We played at a particular tempo. We were slow to build play in the first half. This did not prevent us from having some opportunities though. We really corrected things in the second half. We were much more determined. Houssem Aouar led the way with a magnificent but of play. It is absolutely necessary to open the scoring against teams which play with a low block."
“We could have scored a lot more goals. It would have been better not to concede a goal. Each goal for the goal difference can make a difference at the end of the season. We're going to stay positive and congratulate the boys. We will have Maxence Caqueret, Memphis and Marcelo back for the next matches. I would like to congratulate Vincent Ponsot and his team to file a protest over the suspension of Mattia De Sciglio. We were able to have him for this match, and that changed things."
“We are third tonight. Monaco will play tomorrow, Paris too. There are no easy games for anyone. We will have to take six points over the next two matches, while hoping for a misstep from our direct competitors."
" I am very happy. We managed to add intensity to our performance. We were a little short of pace in the first half. We corrected this in the second half. It's a positive result because we scored four goals. It was important to win today to move ahead of Monaco. We have nothing to complain about today. We deserved the victory and the three points. We feel everyone's desire to be able to return to "normal football." We were welcomed well by the supporters. We had to go back out and thank them at the end of the game. I hope they will be back in the stadium soon to experience some more excitement."
