T. Kadewere avant OL - FCL : "Mettre la pression sur Monaco"
Our striker Tino Kadewere spoke at a press conference on Thursday, two days before facing FC Lorient at Groupama Stadium. The full press conference can be found on OLPlay.

The win in Monaco

“It was a wonderful result in Monaco because we won. We are leaving the things that happened after the match behind us. We need to stay focused for the remaining three matches, especially the one on Saturday against Lorient. Even though we were behind, we didn't let up and we played to the end. Even with ten men, we didn't give up. Rayan Cherki's goal gave us confidence. It's helped us during this week of training."

The team's absences on Saturday

“We have a lot of suspended players who will not be there on Saturday (Marcelo, Mattia De Sciglio, Maxence Caqueret, Memphis). But we have a team that can play a very good match. We have the right players to have a good game. We are staying focused. The essential thing on Saturday is to win this match."

Coming back stronger after injury

“Things are much better when one has confidence. When you're injured, it's hard. I was happy because the team played some very good matches in my absence. Today I’m with the team to win the remaining three matches and qualify for the Champions League. I've worked hard for this, and I think when you lose confidence it's hard. I'm trying to put this behind me. There are three matches left. The most important thing for me is to win them all."

The goal of reaching the Champions League

“I think anything is possible. We will do everything to win these last three matches. We will play before Monaco and Paris this weekend. If we win on Saturday, we will move ahead of Monaco. It's good for us after that if we stay third. It will be difficult to win the title. For me, the goal is the Champions League. We know we are playing for a very big club. There is pressure. The club deserve to play in the Champions League. It's difficult. We have had a very good seasona and it's okay not to win every match."

Adapting to playing different roles in attack

“I can play multiple roles in attack: centrally or on the flanks. I do the things the coach asks me to do. There is no difference; we are players who can adapt. I have worked hard to be able to do that and I've progressed defensively in particular. I like to play on the flanks because there is a lot of space."

The importance of starting the match well

“When you have a team like ours, the most important thing is to score quickly. We have the capacity to score in the first twenty minutes. It's better to have a really good start to the game. We know that for Saturday, there are fewer options on the bench."
