Monaco-OL: The post-match reactions
"It's a match in which we wanted to show our solidarity and our team spirit. I'm proud of my players. It was a real team victory tonight. We were reduced to ten men quite quickly in the second half, but we scored two goals nonetheless. The substitutes were important. I'm very happy for Rayan and for the squad. We absolutely wanted to get back on track to believe in getting back on to the podium. I hope we can win our last three games. If we can take nine points, I think we can finish on the podium. We do not have our destiny in our hands but I am not sure that the three teams ahead of us will all win their three games."
"We won by the way we played tonight, exemplified by the third goal. We may have lacked a level of technical precision in the first half -- we rushed on some of our chances. We knew that if we equalized, the character of the match was going to change, and we then took the upper hand. We managed the sending off of Maxence well -- we won logically. We certainly won against what has been the best team in the league. We were also severely penalized after the provocation by the two young players from Monaco. We will have a lot of absentees against Lorient. We first want to savor this victory and then think about Lorient."
"We were solid and united. We wanted to win this match. We knew we had the weapons to do it. We managed to score a third goal that saved the result. It was a victory won by the whole group. Those players who came on also made a difference. We needed real players on the pitch to get a victory. We didn't do it last weekend, and we blame ourselves. We wanted to redeem ourselves against Monaco. This allows us to get back within a point of them. If we show this state of mind over the last three matches, we can't be counted out until the end of the season."
"We needed to win the match. We really put in a lot of effort. We won the game by finishing the job with ten against 11. It's good for our confidence. We made the difference at the end, and it will do us a lot of good mentally. We put the pressure on Monaco by coming back to within a point of them. The battle continues. We did the job tonight."
I am very happy. My goal won the match for the team. Everyone did a wonderful job over 90 minutes. We deserved the victory today because we did a good job as a collective. It was necessary to take revenge after defeat in the Coupe de France. We were keen to give everything, and not to give up during the whole match. We brought the three points home. We have three games left now to take as many points as possible. "
