Internationals: Saturday night's results

The Netherlands are back to winning ways -- a few days after their surprise defeat against Turkey, Memphis and his teammates made up for it by winning 2-0 against Latvia in the second round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. The Lyon captain played 89 minutes and had an assist.

There was, however, less success for the other two OL players in action this Saturday evening. Anthony Lopes played the entire match between Portugal and Serbia. The contest finished with two goals apiece, with a goal denied to Cristiano Ronaldo at the last second. For his part, Jason Denayer, once again starting in a three-man defense, and Belgium were held to a 1-1 draw by the Czech Republic, who had taken the lead at the start of the second half.
Jason Denayer's reaction:
We had a little trouble building play up from the back. We'll take it as a lesson. It's important to play against opponents like this. It was a tough match. We didn’t play our game and had trouble going forward.
