Internationals: A double for Slimani!

Sélections : un doublé pour Slimani !
Only two Lyonnais played an international match yesterday -- our Algerians, Islam Slimani and Djamel Benlamri.

Islam Slimani is continuing his good run of form! After his goal against PSG on the last day of league action, the striker continued his momentum, playing ninety minutes with Algeria. With a double and an assist for the former Lyonnais Rachid Ghezzal, he was the man of the match for the Fennecs. Despite his fine performance, the reigning African champions slipped to a 3-3 draw against Zambia. The result, however, was of no consequence for them, as they have already qualified for the next Cup of Africa Nations. Coming off in the 90th minute, Islam Slimani was not the only Lyonnais on the pitch as Djamel Benlamri had also started and played the entire match.
