Internationals: Denayer and Lopes win

Anthony Lopes and Memphis were both starters for their countries, but if Portugal won 1-0 against Azerbaijan in Turin, with Lopes having a rather calm evening, the situation was tougher for the Dutchman as the Netherlands lost 4-2 to Turkey, with our captain missing a penalty late in the game.

Jason Denayer did not start, but came into play at half-time in place of Vermaelen; he played a large part in Belgium's 3-1 win against Wales. Finally, Léo Dubois remained on the bench during the 1-1 draw between France and Ukraine.
