After joining OL in July 2010 from Stade Briochin, with whom which she won the title of the league's best player, Eugénie Le Sommer will be extending her contract with Olympique Lyonnais for the 4th time at the age of 31 after previous renewals in 2012, 2016 and 2018.
Currently the second most-capped player in OL history with 326 matches, and the club's top scorer with 272 goals in all competitions (47 goals in the Women's Champions League, 54 goals in the Coupe de France and 171 goals in D1) , Eugénie Le Sommer has an exceptional track record with the club, winning seven Women's Champions League titles, ten French league titles, eight Coupes de France and one Trophée des Championnes.
Individually, the international striker (who has 174 caps and 86 goals with the French national team) has been selected three times as the best player in D1 (2010, 2015, 2017), and also been top scorer (2010, 2012, 2017) three times and currently is the fourth-highest scorer in the history of the Women's Champions League, behind Ada Hegerberg.
Eugenie Le Sommer is the fifth player to extend her contract this season after Ada Hegerberg, Manon Revelli, Griedge Mbock and Amandine Henry, thus confirming the very strong bond between the vice-captain of the French team and Olympique Lyonnais.

I am very happy to continue my adventure with OL and am proud of the journey and what we've accomplished over the last 11 years. The club have always trusted on me, we grew up together and have won a lot of titles together. History continues to be written and I hope to accomplish more great things in the years to come.
