Rudi Garcia : « On est chasseurs, on regarde devant »
Rudi Garcia spoke to a press conference two days before OL's trip to Reims; the entire press conference can be found on OLPlay.

Medical update

“Kadewere is back. We should have everyone."

One year on from the league having stopped

"I hope that in a year we will play in front of 60,000 spectators. France were the only country to make the mistake of stopping their league season."

The match against Reims

“Our goal is to be in first place at the end of Friday evening while waiting for the results of the others. This match is very important because we are entering a spell where a lot will be settled by direct competition. We have to do our best to win in Reims. We can take points off the others. The mindset of the coach is to think of Reims and nothing else. It is useless to think ahead, to think about the other matches. I only want to hear about Reims and not the international break. We want to keep winning to stay on the podium. We are chasing top spot, we must look ahead."

The run-in

"Form is important for oneself but one also has to have a sense of what one senses about others. Every series has its end."

The calendar and the Coupe de France

“I haven't looked at the schedule for the following rounds. We have to respect the fixture against Red Star who have just eliminated a Ligue 1 side. We will have to qualify and then we will see the fixtures later. All of this must be put out of mind to focus only on Ligue 1 for the moment."

Houssem Aouar

“He's an important player for the squad. He has different characteristics from others, and works well showing off the complementary elements to his game. We have internal statistics and we discuss this from time to time. We had made this point just before his two goals. We saw that his percentage of goals from shots on target was abnormally low so it was only inevitable he score and that things were moving in the right direction."

The internationals

“We are in a unique period, without supporters, and we do not know who will be able to play for their country. We hope that our players can play for their countries but if they have to be missing against Lens ... We are also looking to defend the interests of OL. I hope this will be resolved within France. They have three official matches instead of two. The schedule is already a challenge. When they come back, they should be able to play with us. In the professional sporting world, we have one of the most tested populations, they are tested at least twice a week... The players are smart boys. I understand the international coaches and I think they understand the club coaches. Everyone is in an understanding. If we could not have to choose, that would be the best. Hopefully we have provisions that protect both. There is a way not to harm anyone."
