Reims - OL : ce qu'il s'est passé au match aller
On the occasion of Lyon's trip to the Stade Auguste Delaune, here's a look back at the reverse fixture between Reims and OL.

It was November 29, 2020, Matchday 12 of Ligue 1. After a mixed start in the league, OL was back to winning ways, having recorded two consecutive wins, including one in the derby, before hosting Reims. Sitting in fifth place, OL would welcome a Reims side sitting just above the relegation places and looking for a bit of confidence after six losses over the season's first 11 rounds.

For this match, Rudi Garcia selected what has now become his first choice eleven, with the "KTM" trio starting in attack. From the start of the match, Toko Ekambi stood out but unfortunately he could only hit the post against Rajkovic. The inevitable would only be postponed, though, as after 20 minutes Memphis again picked out the Cameroonian in the box who, this time around, finished perfectly to open the scoring. OL were very dangerous but the post hampered their efforts again on a strike from Kadewere. The game took a different turn, though, when the visitors' Cassama was sent off for a poor tackle on Memphis, leaving his teammates to finish the match with ten men.

At the start of the second half, Bruno Guimarães, helped by a deflection off an opposing defender, opened his goal tally for OL and gave his team a two-goal advantage. It was an afternoon full of firsts as Moussa Dembélé, also scored his first of the season. Les Gones thus concluded a near-flawless win, 3-0, and moved up to fourth place thanks to the victory.
