Jordan Ferri: "I appreciated each moment at OL"
OL are having a very good season, they are in the top three, fighting with Lille and Paris. Not being in Europe eases their schedule and with the squad they have they can be very competitive and be a real contender for the title.
We faced them at the start of the season, maybe they had not yet found their rhythm, the right starting lineup, etc. Paqueta was not there in the reverse fixture and I think he's a real asset for them now. It's definitely not the same team that we played earlier.
A golden generation
When I was there, we had nine out of the 11 starters who had come from the Academy, it was really a great time, with players with whom I grew up from the age of 15 until making our debuts with the first team. They were unforgettable experiences like playing in the Champions League; we did extremely well. We were a bunch of friends playing at the highest level. Even today we are in contact and very close. So obviously we all have very good memories of that time.
His best memories of his time at the club
In training it was during a derby in Saint-Etienne with the U16s. We were losing 4-1 at the start of the second half, and at the end we had won 6-4. It is a fond memory because it was not only the derby but we managed to turn the match around. For the first team, there are several: the victory at Gerland against PSG when I scored and we won 1-0, the last derby at the Stade Gerland where we won 3-0 and finally the first match at the Groupama Stadium. I was very frustrated not to start, but I was lucky to be able to come on and score so it was an amazing feeling
I have no regrets, I lived life thoroughly with OL, I appreciated each moment. Certainly we could have done better at certain times or in certain matches, where we showed some inconsistency. The only regret I can have is not having managed to win a title with the players that came up with me.
His return to Groupama Stadium
It makes me very happy, I have already gone back to Lyon, to see OL's matches, but I have not yet had the opportunity to play there again. It's going to be a special feeling for me, but also a great pleasure to face OL again and to be able to play in this stadium that I know well.
I hope we can get back to being on a good run. All clubs go through tough times in a season. We managed to stop the bleeding against Dijon. We have to start over now. This will only happen if we can approach matches by showing our principles on the pitch: defensive solidity, a low block and a lot of solidarity.
