Melvin Bard: "I learn a lot from the players around me"

The Coupe de France
“It's a cup that's interesting to play, it's a title you can win, we have to be focused for this game. A lot can happen in a match and I hope we can win."
Competition for places
"It's football, you always have to fight to win your place, even when you are a regular starter you have to fight. I may have the opportunity to start or come on, as there is a lot of competition at my position, I work every day to be able to contend for a starting position and try to play as many matches as possible. If the coach needs me, I know I will be there the day he calls on me."
His integration into the first team
"For my first full season with the first team, it's going very well, it's fun I'm learning a lot from the players around me, I get advice from Memphis, Léo Dubois. The atmosphere is good, it's easier when we are getting results -- the squad gets along very well, everyone is working hard and that is also one of the reasons for our success today."
His standards for progression
"I think I can take a step forward physically, and tactically, but I'm learning every day. I want to prove that I can play here."
Signing an extension in September
"It’s a big sign of confidence from the club, you have to restore that confidence on the pitch, it’s huge for me because this is my favorite club."
