OL - Metz : des retrouvailles précipitées
Barely a month after their match at the Stade Saint-Symphorien, OL and FC Metz are already facing each other again in play the first match of the second half of the league season.

If the specific situations of the teams can sometimes change between the first and the second match in the league, this will not be the case for the Messins and our Lyonnais. After facing each other on December 6, they will square off again on January 17. Since this first match, which OL won 3-1 thanks to a double from Karl Toko Ekambi and a goal from Memphis Depay, the two teams have stayed on fairly positive runs of form.

FC Metz have lost only once in their last six matches, while Les Gones have taken 14 out of 18 possible points. In addition, the transfer window did not have a major impact on the squads available in the first leg, and the elevens are expected to be, more or less, the same as in December. The two coaches know exactly what to expect, then, which makes this meeting all the more exciting and interesting.
