After Rennes-OL: Experts in the comeback!

“We came back with mental strength, with guts”. And it was is far from being the first time this season. After the draw on Saturday at Rennes (2-2), a direct competitor in the race for the podium, coach Rudi Garcia did not fail to praise the strength of character of his team. That same strength has allowed Lyon, by now more than accustomed to having their way in matches, to get out of many tough situations since the start of the season.

The statistics are impressive. OL have managed to turn things around seven times in the eight matches in which they have been behind. With two wins and five draws, Memphis and his teammates have won 11 points this season which did not necessarily seem on offer for them. The only setback that they've suffered in this context was against Montpellier on September 15, despite the captain having reduced the score when it was 2-0. Thanks to this tough mentality, the Lyonnais remain installed in top spot halfway through the season and can continue to dream big.
