Marcelo : « On doit garder les pieds sur terre »
A few hours before OL's departure for Rennes, Marcelo gave a press conference. The entire conference can be found on OLTV and OLPlay.

Being a leader

"This is a very important moment for us because we are in first place, it feels good to be there, I hope we will continue with the same mentality and the same ambition. We have to keep our feet on the ground because every match is important and the season is still very long. I hope we will continue to win every game."

“This is a team that is going to fight for the title, a very strong team. I've watched a lot of games of this team and they showed they can beat anyone. These direct confrontations are very important, that's why we have to keep the same mentality and the same motivation to come back from Rennes with three points."

The mood in the dressing room

"The atmosphere in the locker room is very good, everyone is very motivated and focused, even in practice we play hard. Each player works very hard to improve and that helps the whole team. This year is different from the others, because we realized that we can win matches, even when we are not playing as well. We have more confidence in our ability to change the outcome of matches and that's good for us. After the defeat against Montpellier we realized that we had to play together in order to progress, which is what we saw starting against Strasbourg -- that is when things started to go in our favor."

His own current form

"I feel good, I've got more experience, more confidence. The form of the team helps me a lot, I don't play alone, when the team plays well, it helps me. With Maxwel, Léo, Jason, and Thiago in midfield etc. It all helps me a lot. I'm happy to give 100% for the team."

Rudi Garcia

"He's helped me a lot, he's very strict in training, during matches, he gives us a lot of instructions, he has different tactics. He's given us a lot of confidence, even to players who play less, as it's important that all players stay focused on helping the whole team."
