OL - Lens : les réactions d'après-match
Coach Rudi Garcia and his players spoke to OLTV following their first game of the year against Lens. All of their reactions can be found in full on OLPlay.

Rudi Garcia

“I was wary of this Lens team. It was a real tricky game. There may be some fitness issues after a week off. We had a good first half. They scored two magnificent goals. The main thing was to win. We did a very good job as regards the standings. We got the result with the whole group. Maxence Caqueret was very good when he came on. We were able to grow into the game despite our absences. We were lacking a little bit of energy physically. We must rest well now for Rennes on Saturday."

Anthony Lopes

“We lacked efficiency a bit early in the game. We knew it was a great team facing us. They have very fast players up front. The spirit was there, though. We took three points and our competitors did not win. Both goals conceded are avoidable. The year is off to a good start. We will take stock a little later. We will give ourselves the means to be at the top as long as possible."

“I could have scored one more goal. There is still work to be done. We had a good first half. The end of the game was not good. The team's mood is good. The squad knows where they want to go. We have improved together."

Mattia De Sciglio

“The victory is very important for our position in the table. We have to stay focused on ourselves. We have our relationships, systems that work very well. We are a team, we are all working together."
