OL - Nantes : ce qu'il s'est passé la dernière fois
Two days before a visit from Nantes for the last Ligue 1 match of 2020, we look back on the last match between OL and Les Canaris.

On January 18, 2020, at the start of the year, the domestic cups were keeping Lyon busy. 15 days after eliminating Bourg-en-Bresse in the Coupe de France and three days before a semifinal in the Coupe de la Ligue against Lille, the Lyonnais traveled to the Stade Beaujoire for the Round of 32 in the Coupe de France. For the occasion Rudi Garcia lined up with a fairly offensive team, led by the usual starters like Moussa Dembélé as well as Rayan Cherki, who was celebrating his second start with OL.

The 16-year-old forward took just 50 seconds to score the game’s first goal ... before a second nine minutes later. In the 15th minute, Nantes closed the gap and set the match rolling towards an unparalleled offensive euphoria. A few minutes later, Cherki played in Terrier perfectly, who would score Lyon's third goal. In the second half, Cherki offered another assist, this time for Moussa Dembélé. Despite the last two goals scored by Nantes at the end of the match and a penalty missed by Dembélé, OL won 4-3 and qualified for the next round after a rather crazy match, marked by an immense performance from Rayan Cherki (two goals and two assists).
