Olympique Lyonnais and FUS Rabat prolong their partnership
Due to the international health crisis and its consequences on the possibilities of exchanges between the two clubs and international travel, the two clubs have chosen to extend their agreement, which began in 2019, in order to guarantee the full period of collaboration agreed between their academies and to allow the sharing of expertise to promote the development of local talent.
In this context, two trainers from the OL Academy went to the Moroccan capital last October to conduct a training session for the technical staff of the FUS training center.
"Fath Union Sport are delighted with the one-year extension of the partnership which links us to Olympique Lyonnais and which is already beginning to bear fruit. It is a partnership which has only grown stronger during this first year, despite the health crisis we are experiencing, but which has not prevented our two clubs from working hand in hand in order to allow this partnership to continue to exist. Olympique Lyonnais, through the training policy it has undertaken over several seasons, allows FUS to learn from its experience in order to continue its development in this field of training." Hamza ELHAJOUI, President of Football, FUS Rabat
"In this difficult international context which endangers the world of sport, whether amateur or professional, we must more than ever show solidarity and mutual aid. This commitment to FUS Rabat, which we are reaffirming today, will enable the club to acquire the necessary means to carry out all the projects started almost a year ago. The bonds of friendship and mutual respect that our clubs have forged over the past several months will come out stronger, in terms of values and human relationships." Jean-Michel AULAS, President, Olympique Lyonnais
