Lille – OL : à la recherche d’une bonne affaire (21h, Téléfoot)
OL travel to Lille this Sunday evening for the 9th Matchday of Ligue 1 Uber Eats. Victorious in their last two matches, Lyon can continue their climb up the table if they can get a result against a side who currently sit second in the standings and are still undefeated.

The context

Each Sunday has its big match. A week after a victory against Monaco (4-1) at Groupama Stadium and a week before the derby at home, OL have another major challenge on this first day of November. Having put an end to a difficult period by putting together two fine wins and regaining some offensive efficiency, Lyon now travel to Lille, a trip that has traditionally been a bete noire for the club. Since 2012 and the Dogues' move to the Stade Pierre Mauroy, OL have won only one of their eight trips to the North of France.

The challenge

In view of the start of the season at Lille, the challenge promises to be even greater. It is indeed at the co-leader that Rudi Garcia's men will face to try to break their bad run in Lille, and above all to continue their climb in the rankings. It's been eight places gained since the trip to Strasbourg and now there's an opportunity to come very close to the podium while closing to within just two points of their opponent on the weekend. There is undoubtedly a great opportunity to be had in Lille.

The opponent

But Lille obviously do not see things the same way. They are the only team unbeaten since the start of the season, with a record of five wins and three draws, LOSC lost their lead at the top last week on goal difference. With only three goals conceded, including only one at home, Jose Fonte's partners have been able to build a real fortress at the Pierre-Mauroy Stadium.
