After OL-Monaco: 100 matches with OL for Moussa Dembélé
This is an important benchmark for a player in their third season for OL. Recruited from Celtic in 2018, Moussa Dembélé has carved out his place in the Lyon attack. After a successful first season in Ligue 1 (33 matches, 15 goals), where he impressed in particular during the derby to give a victory to his teammates in stoppage time, the 24-year-old striker exploded in 2019-2020. In just 27 Ligue 1 matches, he had managed to exceed his total from the previous season with 16 goals scored and, once again, a choice performance in the derby at Groupama Stadium: a brace in a 2-0 victory.
As well as being decisive in Ligue 1, the native of Pontoise also came up big in the Final 8 of the Champions League last season: his double against Manchester City in a 3-1 win after coming on allowed OL to qualify for the semifinals of the competition for the second time in its history. In total, in 100 matches in Red and Blue, he has been been involved in a goal 55 times (44 goals and 11 assists). Unfortunately he's yet to find the nett at the start of the current season, but Moussa Dembélé has, in the past, always proven that he is an efficient striker who OL can count on, and even more so in big matches.
