Arrival of Djamel Benlamri, loan of Reine-Adélaïde and Andersen
Aged 30, Djamel Benlamri has played more than 200 matches in his professional career in Algeria (Hussein-Dey, JS Kabylie, ES Setif) and Saudi Arabia (Al Shabab).
The 1m90 central defender, who has totaled 14 caps with Les Fennecs becomes the 10th Algerian international to play for Olympique Lyonnais and compensates for the departure of Danish international Joachim Andersen to Fulham, in the form of a loan in the amount of €1M for the season, without a purchase option until June 30, 2021, to which could be added a €1M bonus tied to the English's club maintaining their Premier League status.
The 24-year-old Danish international defender joined OL in July 2019 and remains under contract until June 30, 2024.
Meanwhile, Olympique Lyonnais also announces a season-long loan, with a purchase clause of the French U-21 international midfielder Jeff Reine-Adelaide to OGC Nice until June 30, 2021.
This loan, in the amount of €500K, to which could be added a bonus of € 500K if Nice qualifies for a European competition next season, has a purchase option set at €25M.
Having joined in August 2019 from Angers, Jeff Reine-Adélaïde has made 23 appearances for OL and scored 2 goals. The up-and-coming player had recently expressed his wish to leave the club after only making his comeback from injury in the Champions League Round of 16 second leg against Juventus.
OL wish Jeff Reine-Adelaide a good season -- he remains under contract with the club until June 30, 2024.
