Après Lorient - OL : Dubois, l'étincelle
This Sunday, OL played to a draw away to promoted side Lorient (1-1). It was not until the 74th minute of play that we would see Les Gones equalize following a lovely bit of skill from Léo Dubois. The French international may have kick-started the season with more than just that goal.

When one looks at that goal, it's hard to imagine that full back Léo Dubois was the scored. Picked out on the right flank by Bruno Guimaraes, the former Nantes player turned Le Goff, then Lemoine with a crossover in the box before finishing with a curling shot on his wrong foot. It was a moment of inspiration as beautiful as it was decisive, since it allowed his team to come back from the Moustoir with a point.

This is only Léo Dubois’s second goal for Lyon in Ligue 1 after the one scored against Lille (2-2) in the 2018-2019 season. Far from shining only with his finish, the right back impressed on his side throughout, delivering several dangerous crosses that could have been decisive (79’, 86’, 88’) if his partners had been more skillful. It was thus a complete performance for one of the leaders in the locker room, which OL will once again need badly this year.
