Several of OL's women's players were in action in Euro 2022 Qualifying matches this week.

Le Sommer becomes Les Bleues' top scorer

Eugénie Le Sommer became, on Tuesday evening, the top scorer in the history of the France team. Captain, the OL striker scored twice during in Les Bleues' 7-0 win in North Macedonia. Now with 82 goals to her name, Eugénie Le Sommer moved ahead of Marinette Pichon and her 81 goals for the French team. Sakina Karchaoui, Delphine Cascarino and Melvine Malard were also starters in Skopje, while Amel Majri did not participate in the match. Les Bleues continue their perfect record in Group G with a fifth consecutive win.

100 caps for Marozsan

A substitute at kick-off, Dzsenifer Marozan came on in the 54th minute of play in Germany's 3-0 victory in Montenegro. The OL midfielder celebrated her 100th cap with Germany,  who currently top Group I with six wins in six matches and are five points ahead of the Republic of Ireland.

Iceland draw at home to Sweden

Iceland and Sarah Björk Gunnarsdottir, the captain on the evening, managed to draw against Sweden in Group F. In Reykjavik, the two teams left the pitch with the score 1-1, remaining level on points at the top of the group. Sweden is currently ahead of Iceland thanks to a better goal difference (+23 against +19).

Belgium fall in Switzerland

In place in the starting eleven, Janice Cayman could not help her side avoid a 2-1 in Switzerland. This first loss for the Red Flames saw them fall to second place in Group H, one point behind their opponent on the day.
