NWSL : Rentrée décalée pour OL Reign
The American OL-owned women's football franchise has now had its first Verizon Community Shield game in Portland postponed twice.

After reaching the quarterfinals of the NWSL Challenge Cup in mid-July, OL Reign was due to start the Verizon Community Shield on Saturday in Portland. The match was inititally postponed until Tuesday, due to poor air quality in Portland following the fires currently burning in Oregon, California and Washington state. As the air quality has not improved, the match has been postponed again to Wednesday, September 30 at 7 p.m. local time (4 a.m. CET).

The Verizon Community Shield is an innovative competition launched this year by the NWSL in which each team will play for a charity of their choice. It is organized into three "mini leagues" with three teams grouped by geographical area (OL Reign will face Portland and Utah twice). Once the group stage is over, the NWSL will establish a broader table covering all of the nine teams entered across the different groups. Following the tournament, Verizon will award prizes to the charities selected by the top threee teams.

OL Reign will thus start the competition in Utah on Saturday, September 26 at 12:30 p.m. local time (9:30 p.m. French time). OL Reign's matches will be streamed live on Twitch and all the highlights will be available on OLTV and OL Play.

OL Reign Schedule:
- Utah Royals – OL Reign: Saturday, September 26 at 12:30 (21:30 CET)
- Portland Thorns – OL Reign: Wednesday, September 30 at 7:00 (04:00 CET)
- OL Reign – Portland Thorns: Saturday, October 10 at 5:00 (02:00 CET)
