Bordeaux - OL : ce qu'il s'est passé la saison dernière
OL will host Girondins de Bordeaux for their next Ligue 1 Uber Eats match at Groupama Stadium on Friday 11 September. Here's a look back at the two matches against Bordeaux last season.

OL - FC Girondins de Bordeaux (1-1) 31/08/2019

On the 4th matchday of the 2019/2020 season of Ligue 1 Conforama, Les Gones, then coached by Sylvinho, hosted Bordeaux and Paulo Sousa at the Groupama Stadium. In a very close match where neither team could gain the upper hand, Lyon opened the scoring thanks to Memphis who benefitted from a superb through ball from former Lyonnais Martin Terrier. The second period was much more controlled by Les Girondins, helped by the sending-off of Thiago Mendes on the hour mark. The visitors would be much more comfortable than our players and will logically level the score on a goal by Jimmy Briand, despite an impressive double save by Anthony Lopes. The match would end with a draw between two teams looking for a leg up at the start of the league season.

FC Girondins de Bordeaux - OL (1-2) 11/01/2020

The second match was between Bordeaux in 13th and Lyon in 12th, the two clubs not having occupied the places that they wanted. It was a match that took place as part of the 20th matchday of the 2019/2020 season of Ligue 1 Conforama. The first hald was very disappointing from the Lyon perspective, with very few clear chances, but the key moment of this first half was an error on a back pass from Joachim Andersen which allowed Les Girondins to open the scoring -- Jimmy Briand could not miss such a presentable opportunity. Coming back from the locker room, it was a whole different OL that presented itself on the pitch. Much more involved, Les Gones, thanks to Maxwel Cornet, would level the score in the 53rd minute. But the Ivorian winger was not going to stop there; three minutes later  he would deliver an assist for Moussa Dembélé who could not miss the target. Olympique Lyonnais had completely turned the match on its head. Even if the former blues captain Laurent Kolscielny scored late in the game before his goal was waved off for offside, the Rhône-Alpes side  was none too disturbed by a Bordeaux team that was too reticent to get back into the game. Lyon left with 3 points in their pocket.
