Match summary

Almost five months after meeting in the league, it was reunion time. With the women's league season definitively canceled and having been won by OL, Lyon and PSG had another opportunity to do battle this Sunday at Auxerre in the final of the Coupe de France. While OL had immediately taken the game by the scruff of the neck, a forced break after the lighting failed saw the occasion being played on a more even keel. Opportunities were scarce until the 40th minute when Renard's teammates decided to accelerate, despite failing to open the scoring before the break.

The two teams continued to neutralize each other even if the Lyon domination was getting stronger over time. All that was needed was a final moment of skill to unlock the contest, and there were two great chances for Parris, who was replaced by Taylor, making here very first appearance in a Lyon jersey. The penalty shoot-out approached and was inevitable, as it had been in the Trophée des Championnes at the start of the season. This was once again in favor of OL, who won the 9th Coupe de France in their history!
