CDF Féminine : To Guingamp for a place in the final (15h live on OLTV and OLPLAY)
A resumption of training on June 15, a training camp in Tignes, then a training camp with three matches in Poland ... and here is finally the much-awaited return to competition. Frustrated at not being able to finish their season in D1 Arkema, Lyon women's team has been impatiently awaiting the return of the traditional trophy hunt. And before returning to the Women's Champions League at the end of August, it's time for the Coupe de France, with a semifinal to play away to Guingamp.
At the Stade de Roudourou, Jean-Luc's players have had their successes. At the end of September, they had won the first Trophée des Championnes there against PSG (1-1, 4-3 pen) before winning against Guingamp in the league (5-1). Sunday, the objective will be above all qualification, to hope to face a week later the winner between Bordeaux - PSG in Auxerre, in the final.
While OL have had good matches in Poland with victories against Medy Konin (5-0), Czarni Sosnowiec (4-1) and Gornik Leczna (9-0), it will also be interesting to experience this match as the confirmation of their ramp-up to the season. Wendie Renard's teammates have proven that they haven't lost their footballing ability or their thirst for success during the interruption of competition.
For this meeting, Jean-Luc Vasseur will be able to count on the Icelandic rookie Sarah Björk Gunnarsdottir, who made a good impression in Poland. But he will be deprived of another new arrival, Sakina Karchaoui, who has already played matches in the Coupe de France with Montpellier and who is therefore not qualified.
