Antwerp FC - OL : dernier match de préparation avant le PSG (16h, en direct OLTV/OLPLAY)
After their match against Gent (3-2), OL are preparing to play their last preseason match against Royal Antwerp FC, this Friday at 4 p.m. It's a more important match than it seems because it is the last opportunity for Rudi Garcia to work out the final details before the Coupe de la Ligue final.

The context

In Belgium since Wednesday, OL have already played a match there as they crossed swords with Gent on the evening of their arrival (3-2). With this match against Antwerp, OL will play their sixth and final preseason match. The team's record is also pretty good, with four wins and just one loss, against Rangers in the Trophée Veolia (0-2). Rudi Garcia has been able to to take stock of his squad since all the players have had playing time. This bodes well just a few days before one of the matches that can give the season a whole new context.

The challenge

The Coupe de la Ligue final will be played on Friday, July 31, a week from today. This last match against Antwerp should serve the players of Jean-Michel Aulas' club to increase drastically the intensity of their play and aid Rudi Garcia in defining a battle plan for this next match against the French champion. The French manager can already rejoice in the return to form of Jeff Reine-Adélaïde and especially Memphis, who has excellent during this preseason, and even spectacular at times, evidenced by his backheel scored against Celtic Glasgow (2-1).

The opponent

The oldest club in Belgium had a very good 2019-20 season. Fourth in the Jupiler League, The Great Old even made it to the Belgian Cup final, which they will play on August 1 against Club Brugge. With the third-best attack in their league, the Antwerp club are a constant danger with veterans Dieumerci Mbokani and Lior Refaelov (34), scoring 18 and 11 league goals respectively in 29 matches.
