OLTV : The best of Youri Djorkaeff on OLNS

Your current activities
I’ve been Managing Director of the FIFA Foundation since October. The president hired me to build this foundation. I'm starting from scratch. I am working on a global program. I'm going to put a strategy in place to look ahead over the next ten years, especially focusing on children in difficulty or on other difficult situations. It was a real desire of mine. I arrived with a project. I wanted to use the power of football to build partnerships and be able to listen to different communities. It is exciting. You have to listen to others.
Your relationship with OL
I almost joined OL a lot of times. Unfortunately, something was still missing. There was a time when Arsène Wenger didn't want to let me leave Monaco. I have never worn the Lyon jersey but I have always been a supporter of OL. It's in my blood. I have played for all of the clubs around. I have a very good relationship with the club, the supporters. I chat from time to time with the president, Gérard Houllier.
Your opinion of the president
Jean-Michel Aulas did something extraordinary. He built a brand. OL are recognized everywhere. His management is very strong, he always has a pawn ahead of the game. I like it. He never rests on his laurels. You always have to see what's behind his press releases, everything is well thought out.
The end of the Ligue 1 season
The politics have been a bit bizarre on this issue. There was no common ground, that surprises me. There should have been a strong policy across Europe. I regret that this announcement was quick. We should have given ourselves time.
