OL Fondation : Update on the current operations
Tell us about "The Everyday Champions" ?
Since April 27, we have been working on a communications campaign to honor people who work or volunteer every day dealing with medical and social emergencies. The campaign is highlighted on our networks with the hashtags #Championsauquotidien, #RestezChezVous, #sOLidaire and #JouonsLaCollectif.
70 tablets have been distributed?
Yes, thanks to the Rhône Department and OL Fondation, 49 facilities which house disabled adults have been able to receive this equipment. This allows the residents to keep in touch with their loved ones, via video calls during confinement and also in the months that follow.
Have you also set up a program with Sport Dans La Ville linked to the health crisis?
We tried to find a way to keep the link between the youth of Sport Dans La Ville and OL through the foundation. We organized an eSports tournament last week, on FIFA 2020 , with 50 young people from Lyon, St-Étienne, Chambéry and Grenoble as well as two players from the professional squad, Amine Gouiri and Amel Majri and CocoVBastos, one of the professional eSports players of LDLC OL. The tournament was a fun way to communicate about respecting confinement.
The results of this operation have been very positive, the young people were very friendly and they were able to challenge themselves in a good mood. Those who faced off against Amel, Coco or Amine were delighted with being granted this little privilege.
How have we been doing with the crowdfunding platform?
Here are excerpts from Maelle Trarieux's interview, being offered every Tuesday and Friday on OLTV's Flash Info.
These actions are a continuation of the efforts made by Olympique Lyonnais, using the club's resources and also thanks to the many donors who have mobilized around this effort, to meet the emergency needs that have arisen as a part of the current health crisis.
