Rudi Garcia : « On veut revenir avec un résultat positif »
Olympique Lyonnais coach Rudi Garcia spoke to journalists at a press conference before the decisive match on Sunday evening against LOSC.

Medical update

Youssouf Koné is available. Jason Denayer is  a doubt because of a muscle problem. And Maxwel Cornet is not yet sure about his availability.

LOSC – OL

Sunday’s match is important because they're a direct competitor. We are going there to win, obviously. If we take a result there, including a draw, nothing will be definitively finished. We have to win in Lille if we want to get back on the podium. They have a great set of fans who push them, it will be hard but we have an impetus that we will have to put forward to win. We envision that we are able to win in Lille and nothing else. We want to come back with a positive result. It’s a complete team in front of us. They are not near the top of the table by chance. There are similarities between OL and LOSC. There is quality in all positions in both teams.

OL - PSG

We will remember that at ten we should have done better and not conceded three goals. But for 60 minutes against PSG, eleven against eleven, we were better than them. We have to build on that to make a difference in the North. When things are going well, you have to take them into account.

The team's good form

We have found defensive solidity. The midfield is also much more effective, but success should not be simplified in terms of that. We have a complementary midfield that allows us multiple solutions. It is a matter of satisfaction but if we had not been good in attack and we conceded goals it would not have been the same. Everyone deserves credit. All players accept the level of competition. We need each member of the squad for the end of the season. Today’s substitutes may be tomorrow’s starters. We also count on them, and we must tell them this.

Thiago Mendes

Yesterday he was training well. We cannot say that our midfield is exceptional and change things like that. It is also sporting merit that takes precedence.
