OL v ASSE (2-0): Moussa Dembélé, Saint-Etienne's nemesis!
He became a derby legend on 21 January 2019 with a bullet header. He rewrote history on 1 March 2020 with a finely crafted flick. Already a derby hero at Geoffroy Guichard the previous season with the winning goal in the 95th minute, Moussa Dembélé put in another great performance against Saint-Etienne. The OL striker scored a brace on Sunday evening at the Groupama Stadium thanks to another header and a penalty from a Panenka in the 96th minute that left the Saint-Etienne keeper helpless in front of the jubilant home fans.
The man who has already scored his 15th and 16th goals of the season in Ligue 1 Conforama continues to turn the goalscoring charts around since joining the OL just over a year-and-a-half ago. And AS Saint-Etienne are clearly one of his favourite victims, much to the delight of the Lyon supporters. Moussa Dembélé, three goals in four derbies, is only the fourth Lyon player of the 21st century to score at least two goals against the Greens. He joins Nabil Fekir, Alexandre Lacazette and Juninho, all of whom are from Lyon, of course!
