Léo Dubois : « Notre objectif est de finir sur le podium »
The OL right back, who returned last week after a long period on the sidelines, spoke the journalists present at a press conference this Friday, two days away from the derby against Saint-Etienne.

The win against Juve

"We are happy to have won. It was an important match for us. We wanted to have a great first leg and that's what we did. We displayed a good mentality, we played a beautiful game. We have the hardest part to come, going there and getting a positive result. The victory makes us feel good psychologically and physically. Tactically we prepared for the game very well. Everyone carried out thei their role. The dilemma was not to be afraid of a confrontation in facing against great players. "

A measure of revenge in the derby

"The derbies are always different matches. We have the desire to win, we have no choice. The way in which we do does not matter to me, it's just the three points that matter to us. We have a very important match on Sunday then another three days later. We are not thinking about the return leg against Juventus. We are focused on ASSE. We are all committed to erasing the bitter taste of the first leg of the derby. We have the quality to do much better. Of course we are taking into account the lack of form by ASSE but a derby is a game apart. We have to come through with a big performance. We have to give the supporters what we gave against Juventus. There is a lot more rivalry between OL and ASSE than between Nantes and Rennes for example. There is pressure that you have to know how to bear up under and especially how to play with it. When I signed here, I was directly immersed into what the derby represented. It’s an essential thing for the club. It’s good to have matches to play like this in a season."

His goals

"I always tried to keep my place in the squad even when I was injured. I feel good now. I prepared for this well during my rehabilitation. I had goals, to come back ready to play high intensity matches. "I am very happy to return at the time that we had planned without any problems. The French team remains in the back of my mind. I know what I must go through, especially against big clubs. The most important thing is to help the club first of all. Our goal is to finish on the podium, to go as high up the table as possible. If we display the same confidence and the same performance as against Juve, we can do great things. "
