UCL : OL know how to welcome their European friends to Groupama Stadium

October 18, 2016. You have to go back to that date to find Lyon's last defeat at Groupama Stadium in the Champions League. Beaten that day by Juventus by the smallest of margins (0-1) in the group stage, OL yesterday extended their unbeaten run in the most prestigious of European competitions ... by returning the favor to their neighbor across the Alps this Wednesday (1-0) in the Round of 16 first leg.

While City, Benfica, Zenit, Barcelona and Seville have all been guests at Decines, Lyon, now unbeaten for three and a half years, remain on nine games without a single loss. The Groupama Stadium, which last night saw one of its most beautiful European evenings since its inauguration in January 2016, has seen OL succeed with an overall record of 11 matches: three wins, seven draws and one defeat, against the Turin club . Hopefully the men of Rudi Garcia can offer themselves the possibility of extending their series this spring 2020! We'll find the answer on March 17 at Juventus Stadium.
