Rudi Garcia : « C'est une autre aventure »
The OL manager spoke to a press conference on Tuesday, on the eve of the big match against Marseille in the quarterfinal of the Coupe de France.

“We have two suspensions which will added to our long-term injuries. Léo (Dubois) is back with the group but is not yet ready. This is not a position where we have shortcomings. We will see how Maxwel (Cornet) is. He was not fit to play against Paris. Thiago (Mendes) did not train yesterday. I think it's a knock or a calf injury. Jean (Lucas) is suspended, Bruni (Guimarães) is not ready, obviously. But he played last Sunday so he wouldn't have a problem with rhythm or competition. We have a lot of absentees but with those I have left, we are going to be able to go to the semifinal of the Coupe de France, for sure. "

“We knew we would be likely to concede a goal in Paris. We wanted to score one goal more or at least as many as PSG. We did not come far from this, such as on the shot from Moussa (Dembélé). We conceded too many goals. If you have to score three goals each time to win, it's going to be difficult. "

“We are at home, facing the second-placed team in the league. It's another adventure, it's going to be played with plenty at stake, with no possible return. Statistics against facing a big opponent? Statistics, we make them say what we want. We don't stop there. We will beat ranked teams ahead of us, starting tomorrow. We have one of the best attacks in the championship but we don't score enough on set pieces. If we start to score from them, it will be an additional weapon. We have good combinations but it has only worked once, against Benfica (3-1). There must also be players to attack the ball. We are working on all of this. This match is a gala match, between two prestigious clubs. We have the advantage of being at home, we will have to use it. We must also approach this match with humility. "

"The club's priority is to win the final of the Coupe de la Ligue, to go to the semi-final of the Coupe de France, to return to the podium in the league and to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Champions League. OL want to win a title. It's not an obsession for me, I'm just thinking of winning the next match and taking the club to the semi final. "

“Joachim (Andersen) will play tomorrow. He is at a very good level, he is the youngest, and he arrived later than the others. He needs to adapt but I count on him as much as the others. I trust him. I understand his difficulties in adjustment because Ligue 1 is different from Serie A. "

“I looked for solutions when I didn't have Youssouf (Koné) and Fernando (Marçal). The only one that made sense as an effective left back was Maxwel. And he has convinced us he can play there. It is one more feather in his cap. He's a versatile player, and we don't have many at OL. "

“He is never better than when he starts deeper on the pitch. He is aware of it, we have discussed it. I find him less effective when he plays in a more advanced role, behind the striker or as a number ten. He can play as a box-to-box midfielder or on one flank. We expect a lot from him, he has class and it's normal to be demanding of him. He must know when to keep the ball and when to involve others. "
