OL - Amiens SC : The post-match reactions
“We are frustrated. I expected a lot better from this match given the stakes and the results of the other teams, there was a win to be had and we could not close out the match. We lack playing with simplicity; there are too many complicated choices made when simpler solutions exist. There are still positive points, the players gave their maximum and we did not concede any goals. We're going to hang on to that kind of thing and say that you can only do so much. I hope the importance of Sunday’s game will make us realize that we need to do much better. Rayan Cherki must be left alone, he will not be the savior. He was very unlucky in hitting the post. We have done too little, we have suffered too much pressure from Amiens. We have to go back to being much more humble and executing simple things in the game. ”
"It's starting to be a lot of dropped points. In Nice, tonight ... There are too many things that have not been good. It's a shame because when you don't concede a goal, defensive work is rewarded, but offensive work isn't. The opposing goalkeeper made some great saves, notably on the shot by Rayan Cherki. We have to create a lot more with out play, with more movement to bring as much danger as possible to the opposition goal. We will try to correct the situation on Sunday at the Parc, even if it will be very difficult. Hopefully there is a lot of pride there to make up for the lost points. "
"I think we lacked creativity, just in the last few meters. We dominated the match but we failed to capitalize on our superiority. We were not able to be sharp enough to score a goal that would have hurt Amiens. I don't need a lot of time to adjust. I would have liked to continue my adaptation with victories, though, because it is always easier when the results follow. "
