Schedule : A busy February

Lyon are experiencing a 2020 which has been one of renewal. After a difficult first half of the season, Rudi Garcia's players have approached the second in a most beautiful way. With six wins and qualification for the Coupe de la Ligue final, OL are undefeated through the month of January. But they will have to keep up the pace since February will also be intense in terms of the fixture list.
Olympique Lyonnais begins its marathon this Sunday against Nice on the 22nd matchday of Ligue 1 Conforama. This match marks the start of a difficult month since OL will play seven matches in just twenty-five days. And what a set of fixtues! The residents of Groupama Stadium will notably go to Île-de-France to face PSG, host Olympique de Marseille in the quarterfinal of the Coupe de France and Juventus in the Champions League at home. To this will be added league matches against Nice, Amiens, Strasbourg and Metz, all of which will give the team matches every three days during this month of intense competition.

To complete this great series of disputed games, OL will host their historic rival, AS Saint-Etienne at home on March 1, for a derby that will be marked by a desire for revenge. Rudi Garcia and his staff will therefore have to manage their squad as well as possible and use as many players as possible to keep the group fresh. The arrivals of Karl Toko Ekambi and Bruno Guimarães will inevitably help the club in what promises to be an essential month for the rest of the season.
