CDF Féminine : OL go to Thonon Evian looking to move on (14h15 live on OLTV and OL Play)
Holder of the title, Lyon want to continue their journey in the Coupe de France. After easily eliminating OM in the Round of 32 (9-1), the players of Jean-Luc Vasseur go to Thonon Evian on Saturday (2:15 p.m.).
Currently 8th in Group B of D2, the Haut-Savoyardes had to go through three rounds to get here. The players of Dejan Belic won away to R1 Oberhergheim (6-1), then Nîmes (4-0), before beating Nancy, 5th in their group of D2 (2-0).
OL have already played this team before in this competition, during the round of 64 in the 2016-2017 season. The club was then called ETG Ambilly and Lyon easily qualified 8-0, with doubles from Cascarino and Lavogez, and goals from Petit, Bremer, Hamraoui and Norheim.
Since then, several players from the OL Academy have joined Thonon Evian: the reserve goalkeeper Anaïs Bichon, as well as Lina Khelif, Aliya Saïd and Inès Boutaleb. The club also counts in its ranks Allison Blais, who has played for several clubs in D1, and the Jordanian international Maysa Jbarah, who faced OL with Grenoble in semifinals last season.
This Round of 16 match of the French Women's Cup between Thonon Evian and OL will be broadcast live on OLTV and OL Play on Saturday at 2.15 p.m., with a pre-match and the press conference of the men's team from 1.15 p.m.
