Jean Lucas : "I want to make my mark with this club"
His place in the club
"I don't know if I'm going to play on Saturday. But I am working to start; I am very assiduous and if I play I will give my best for my team. I’m very motivated to play in the semifinal of the Coupe de la Ligue as well. We have to win titles given the great history of OL. I don't want to be a fleeting presence, I want to leave my mark with this club. I want to show what I can bring. I don’t have a favorite position, if Rudi (Garcia) put me at goalkeeper, I would give my best even at that position. I will always give maximum effort, the position does not matter to me. I will continue to do my best to bring him satisfaction. My life has never been easy, I have made a lot of sacrifices. I have been very patient to get to Lyon, I know that a permanent position (in the team) will come with patience. I came to France with my parents and I thank God for having them with me. "
His life in France
“The hardest part is speaking and communicating with the players. I have no difficulty playing, I trust my talent, I just need to improve my communication. Football is different in France. The players are stronger and the game is faster but I feel good thanks to my friends, my teammates and my family. I feel integrated, thank God all is well. I have the help and support of the Brazilian players, Claudio (Caçapa) and Juninho. The French players also teach me words every day. My head was turned by OL and I live for the club. I give 100% of my energy to the club every day. I talk to my parents every day and we are well aware of how lucky we are to be at OL. In no case do I think of a departure when I speak with my father who is my agent. "
About Juninho and Maxence Caqueret
"I have a great relationship with Juninho, he brought me here and I thank him. He gives me advice before each game. It's also very good for Lyon to have a player like Maxence Caqueret and me too (laughs). We both give everything we have for the club. "
